Heat treatment

The wood's features change with the treatment:

- it will be harder
- longer life
- colour changes to brown
- it has a nice aroma
- it wont twist

Heat treatment is very useful if we use a timber outdoor which doesn't resist to the blasts of the environment like spruce, fir wood,
linden, ash, maple, poplar.
The timber will become darker after the treatment, the cross loadability and the flexibility decrease (we don't recommend it as a roof material).
This treatment preserves the timber and kills the micro-organism and the worms so we can put these old treated timbers in our house
without any problem.
